About the role

Are you a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in accuracy and loves making numbers tell a story? HOPLA is hiring an Accountant to help manage our financial operations and ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys organizing data, analyzing financial trends, and maintaining compliance with precision. You’ll collaborate closely with our leadership team to provide insights, streamline processes, and contribute directly to the company’s financial health and growth.

Your days will be filled with:

• Perform month end closing activities such as account reconciliation, revenue accounting, expense accounting, etc.
• Prepare ad hoc reports required for team meetings or as requested by management and customers
• Prepare and submit financial reports in a timely and accurate manner
• Review all financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Reconcile daily bank transactions
• Process approved sales invoices
• Process supplier invoices received from email and prepare summary of weekly listing of invoices for payment. Ensure all suppliers’ invoices have been approved
• Prepares purchase order as requested from head office
• Prepares due from affiliates invoices for billing
• Record month end accruals, prepayments and other journal entries
• Checks monthly end accruals, prepayments and other journal entries
• Checks monthly credit card statement and AU expense reports
• Update weekly cash flow and bank transaction file
• Prepares cost of goods sold report

Who we are looking for:

• Atleast 4 - 6 years working experience in the accounting field
• Must be knowledgeable in QuickBooks Accounting System. QuickBooks experience is required
• Good communications skill
• Can work autonomously in a remote setup, with a quiet environment and your own reliable equipment
• Are comfortable using time-tracking tools during work hours

Bonus If You Have:

• Preferably knowledgeable in AR and AP process
• CPA Preferred but not required

Device Requirements:

To maintain a highly productive and professional work-from-home setup, successful candidates must have:

Computer & Equipment

• Primary and backup computer with at least Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5, and 8GB RAM
• Web camera for meetings and check-ins
• Headset (preferably noise-canceling) for clear communication

Internet Connection

• Primary: Minimum 30 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload
• Backup: At least 10 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload
