About the Role

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to support personal branding and content creation projects. While the primary focus will be on short-form videos (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts), this role will also expand into other types of content such as long-form YouTube videos, educational tutorials, podcasts, promotional videos, and social media ads.


You will be provided with raw clips and scripts, and your job will be to turn them into polished, engaging, and impactful videos that connect with audiences across different platforms.


Responsibilities

  • Edit short-form videos (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts) with creative overlays, captions, and trending styles.
  • Edit long-form content including YouTube videos, podcasts, interviews, and educational/tutorial-style videos.
  • Create promo and ad-style videos for marketing campaigns and social media ads.
  • Design thumbnails and visuals that capture attention and improve click-through rates.
  • Collaborate on ideas for storytelling, hooks, and editing styles that boost engagement.
  • Repurpose long-form content into bite-sized clips for multiple platforms.
  • Stay on top of video trends, social media updates, and editing techniques.
  • Ensure consistent brand style, tone, and quality across all video formats.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience editing varied video types: short-form, long-form, educational/tutorial, podcast, or promo/social ads.
  • Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and audience engagement.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar).
  • Basic design skills for thumbnails, captions, and motion graphics.
  • Ability to contribute creative input, not just execute edits.
  • Organized, reliable, and able to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills in English.


Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with YouTube content creation and podcast editing.
  • Familiarity with personal branding and social media marketing.
  • Skills in motion graphics, animations, or After Effects.
  • Knowledge of paid ad formats and platform requirements.
