Job Description:
- Maintains accurate financial records for their organization. This includes recording all financial transactions, such as sales, expenses, and payments, in a timely and precise manner.
- Ensures that all financial records and transactions are reconciled regularly. This involves comparing financial records to bank statements and other financial documents to identify discrepancies or errors.
- Prepares financial reports and statements for their organization, which may be used by management, investors, or regulatory agencies. They must be proficient in using accounting software and other tools to generate reports and analyze data.
- Ensures the company complies with all applicable financial regulations, such as tax laws, accounting standards, and financial reporting requirements.
- Analyzes financial data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas of concern. They may also make recommendations for financial strategies or changes to business processes based on their analysis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred BUT not required
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel & QuickBooks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
