St. Joseph Drug started in 1958 with a very small store of 3.5 meter frontage and only 3 employees. But with the founder’s enduring faith in God and an unbounded entrepreneurial spirit, the company has grown from a small, regional-based drugstore operation to a promising national chain store with 120 outlets and counting. From its humble beginnings, St. Joseph Drug has seen its spread all across Luzon, from the far confines of the Ilocos Region and La Union to the upper reaches of Baguio City and the Cordilleras and today to the vast plains of Central Luzon. As the company strives to elevate its business practices to one that is world-class, St. Joseph Drug has earned the trust and admiration of the communities where it operates. As proof of the company’s operational and organizational excellence, it has been recognized with various quality and service awards, including being adjudged as the first winner of the DSAP Quality Award using the prestigious US Baldridge 7-point criteria for Quality and besting 19 other drugstore chains in the country. St. Joseph Drug was also named 2009’s Outstanding Filipino Retailer of the Year (Regional Retailer – Luzon) by the Philippine Retailer’s Association (PRA) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
