What we do:


The Plastic Flamingo, aka The Plaf, is a social enterprise with a pilot project in the Philippines (Manila).


Our core mission is to tackle marine plastic pollution by collecting and recycling ocean-bound plastic waste in emerging countries with maximum social impact.


We started the venture in 2018 and we are now managing a plastic collection network of about 300 collection points in Metro Manila (schools, villages, condominiums, offices, stores, etc.) and have already collected more than 1,000 Tons of plastic waste.


We also developed a large range of offers for corporations willing to offset their plastic footprint. We are one of the very few pioneer companies in the world inventing and spreading the plastic compensation concept (EPR & CSR).


We started recycling plastic waste in a demo facility in 2020 and launched in 2023 a full size facility in Muntinlupa (South of Metro Manila).


We produce 100% recycled plastic eco-boards (compression molding process) and rHDPE pellets. We also have a carpentry workshop, where we design and manufacture various products made with our eco-boards, especially furniture pieces.



Job Summary:

The Sales and Partnership Jr. Manager is responsible for driving B2B sales growth, executing strategic sales initiatives, and managing tier 2 partner accounts to ensure business success. This role focuses on building strong relationships with partners, identifying new opportunities, and ensuring the seamless execution of sales strategies for The Plastic Flamingo's sustainable products, including Eco-Boards, Eco-Furniture, and rHDPE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B sales, account management, and a passion for sustainability.


Key Responsibilities:


Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and implement B2B sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for sustainable products (Eco-Boards, Eco-Furniture, rHDPE).
  • Identify new business opportunities within target industries such as construction, furniture manufacturing, and sustainability-focused sectors.
  • Conduct market research to analyze trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations to potential clients.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients while maintaining alignment with company objectives.
  • Track sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to management.


Account Management:

  • Manage a portfolio of partner accounts involved in The Plaf's diverse programs, including plastic waste collection, upcycling, and social impact initiatives.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned partners, understanding their objectives, needs, and challenges related to the program involvement.
  • Develop and implement tailored account management plans to maximize partner engagement and success within The Plaf's programs.
  • Ensure partners are well-informed about The Plaf's products, programs, and resources.
  • Monitor partner performance against agreed-upon goals, addressing issues promptly and providing constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to deliver comprehensive support and address partner-specific needs related to their program involvement.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to partner engagement and program impact.


Partnership Development:

  • Identify potential new partnerships by leveraging industry networks and managing inquiries from official channels (e.g., [email protected]).
  • Assist in monitoring the progress of major projects to ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Support events related to partnerships or major projects by coordinating logistics and participation.


Administrative Tasks:

  • Prepare detailed reports for clients regarding project updates or partnership performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, partner agreements, and client interactions in CRM systems.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management to support organizational goals.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in B2B sales or partnership management; experience in sustainability-focused industries is a plus.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing client accounts effectively.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals successfully.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for engaging with clients and partners.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce or HubSpot) is preferred.
