Job Overview:

We are looking for a General Accountant to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. Some of the responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns.   

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes. Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity, and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we’re compliant with all regulations. 


Essential Functions:

Bookkeeping

Bookkeeping involves accurately recording all financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and ensuring compliance with Philippine accounting and tax regulations. It includes reconciling accounts and preparing reports for financial analysis and statutory compliance.


Payrolling

Payrolling ensures the accurate computation and timely disbursement of employee wages, benefits, and tax deductions, including SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG contributions. It also involves compliance with labor laws and BIR tax guidelines.


Billing/Accounts Receivable (AR)

Billing and Accounts Receivable includes generating invoices, tracking payments, and managing overdue accounts. It ensures timely collections and proper tax reporting, including VAT, in line with BIR regulations.


Accounts Payable

Accounts Payable involves processing vendor invoices, ensuring correct payments, and applying withholding taxes as per the law. It ensures timely payments to suppliers and compliance with BIR tax withholding requirements.


Banking

Banking management involves reconciling bank transactions, ensuring accurate recording of cash balances, and managing the company’s cash flow. It includes compliance with banking regulations and ensuring adequate liquidity for operations.


Permitting

Permitting involves securing and renewing necessary business licenses and permits from local and national authorities. It ensures compliance with government requirements, including BIR registration and local government tax obligations.


Financial Reporting

Financial Reporting entails preparing financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, in compliance with Philippine accounting standards. These reports must reflect the company’s true financial position for statutory and internal use.


Tax Reporting

Tax Reporting involves the preparation and submission of accurate tax filings, including income tax returns and VAT reports, in compliance with the National Internal Revenue Code. It ensures timely payment and proper documentation of taxes withheld.


Check/CV and forms preparation in all manner of disbursements (including offshore remittances and internal fund transfer)  

Requisito

  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, Bookkeeping, Finance, or a related field; 
  • 3 years minimum relevant experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (8/10)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle ad-hoc requests effectively.


Work Schedule:

  • PHL time - Monday to Friday (10:00am to 7:00pm)
