Descrição:

The primary purpose of the Benefits Specialist is to manage and execute key HR functions within the organization, including employee relations, compensation and benefits administration. The HR Specialist serves as an expert in specific HR areas, providing support to both employees and management by ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives. This role is crucial in fostering a positive work environment, ensuring legal compliance, and aligning HR strategies with the overall business objectives of the organization.


Responsibilities


  • Maintain and update salary structures, compensation records, and related reports.
  • Support compensation benchmarking and participate in market salary surveys.
  • Assist in implementing salary increases, bonuses, and other compensation programs.
  • Administer employee benefits such as health insurance, leave credits, and wellness programs.
  • Ensure timely enrollment, changes, and termination of employee benefits; liaise with third-party providers and government agencies.
  • Serve as the point of contact for employee benefit queries and escalations.
  • Process end-to-end payroll accurately and on schedule, including off-cycle payments (e.g., final pay, 13th-month pay, adjustments).
  • Validate attendance data, overtime, deductions, bonuses, and tax adjustments.
  • Coordinate with Finance for payroll funding, reconciliation, and SOA preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with government reporting and remittances (e.g., SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR).
  • Maintain accurate payroll and benefits records in the HRIS; ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments for clearance approvals and final pay processing.
  • Generate payroll and benefits reports as needed for stakeholders and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, government regulations, and audit standards.
  • Stay updated on changes in labor regulations and compensation trends.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Solid background in key HR functions, including recruitment, payroll, and employee relations.
  • Experience with macros is an advantage.
  • HR certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, and best practices.
  • Proficient in using HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Skilled in analyzing HR metrics and generating reports.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
