The CAD Operator – MPF is responsible for preparing accurate 2D and 3D drawings and layouts for Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems using CAD software. This role supports engineers and designers in developing coordinated shop drawings, as-built plans, and other technical documentation in line with project specifications, building codes, and industry standards.

Drawing & Design Preparation

• Produce detailed 2D/3D drawings for mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Develop shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination layouts as required.
• Modify and revise drawings based on engineer or client feedback.

Technical Coordination

• Coordinate MPF layouts with other disciplines (electrical, structural, architectural) to prevent clashes.
• Ensure accurate placement of piping, ducts, equipment, and fire protection components per specifications.
• Review design inputs and convert sketches, specifications, and calculations into CAD files.

Documentation & Standards Compliance

• Maintain drawing logs and document revision history.
• Ensure drawings comply with company CAD standards, project requirements, and local codes (e.g., NFPA, plumbing codes).
• Assist in preparing drawing packages for submittals and permits.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with MEP engineers, BIM coordinators, site teams, and consultants.
• Attend coordination meetings and resolve drawing-related issues.

• Graduate of Engineering, Architecture, or Drafting Technology
• TESDA NC II in Technical Drafting or CAD/CAM (preferred)
• 1–2 years of experience in CAD drafting (Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection)
• Proficient in AutoCAD (2D required; 3D is a plus)
• Familiar with Fire Protection drawing plan, Sectional, and Isometric layout drawings
• Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, or Photoshop is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
