• The Restaurant Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions efficiently, accurately, and with a friendly demeanor. This role also supports front-of-house operations, maintains cleanliness of the cashier station, and ensures excellent customer service at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly as they enter the restaurant.
• Process customer orders accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and provide change correctly.
• Issue receipts, refunds, or credits as needed.
• Ensure the cash drawer is balanced at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Answer customer questions about menu items and restaurant policies.
• Assist with food packaging for take-out or delivery orders.
• Maintain a clean and organized cashier area.
• Collaborate with kitchen and serving staff to ensure smooth service.
• Report any discrepancies or issues to the manager on duty.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
