Job Summary:

We are looking for a dependable and friendly Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. You will handle cash, credit, and debit transactions, maintain a clean and organized register area, and ensure that all customers have a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner.
Transaction Processing: Accurately process customer purchases using a point-of-sale (POS) system.
Cash Handling: Safely handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring proper change is given and receipts are provided.
Maintain Checkout Area: Keep the cashier area clean and organized, ensuring supplies are stocked and available.
Returns & Exchanges: Process returns and exchanges following company policies, providing excellent service throughout.
Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the products and services offered by the store to assist customers with their inquiries.
Security & Fraud Prevention: Monitor for suspicious activity and report any potential security concerns to management.
Teamwork: Collaborate with fellow staff members to ensure efficient store operations.

Requisito

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Prior experience in retail or customer service preferred but not required.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
Ability to operate a POS system or willingness to learn.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to [X] lbs, and perform tasks involving bending and reaching.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous cashier experience in a retail or hospitality setting.
Bilingual abilities (if applicable to the location).
Knowledge of the store’s products and services.
