With the challenges that global warning poses, Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) help organizations address environmental challenges and integrate sustainable practices into companies’ operations. CCaSS offers services that focus on reducing environmental impact, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing long-term business resilience.


Climate change and sustainability and its environmental, social, and economic impact continue to rise on the agendas of governments and organizations around the world. Organizations not only face regulatory impacts, but also expectations for action from a wide range of stakeholders, including employees, investors, lenders, customers, and suppliers.


At SGV, we help organizations identify, develop, and deliver strategies that address risk and opportunity while measuring effectiveness. Our Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) team is growing.

Job Summary

Our Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) team is actively growing. As we navigate the complex landscape of global energy transitions, our Energy Transition Advisory service is enabling the development of structures, services, and cross-industry collaboration needed to advance the evolution of energy systems. We are looking to bring more talent to help us realize our goals.


Your key responsibilities

As an Energy Transition Advisory Associate, you will:

  • Support client-related engagements in Energy Transition with the following key themes: decarbonization, renewable energy and distributed energy solutions, energy storage solutions, e-mobility, sustainable fuels, and regulatory and policy frameworks governing them.
  • Research and synthesize trends, technologies, and policies on energy transition topics
  • Analyze energy outlooks and emerging trends to understand transition blockers and enablers.
  • Help clients in developing strategies to integrate sustainability in their business operations, risk management, systems, and processes.
  • Support tasks related to energy sector opportunities.
  • Contribute and support activities towards the sustained prominence of SGV’s climate change and sustainability services practice.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in the following fields (or related disciplines): energy engineering, chemical/ electrical/ mechanical engineering, or environmental science/engineering
  • Working knowledge of one or more of the following key themes – decarbonization, renewable energy and distributed energy solutions, energy storage solutions, e-mobility, sustainable fuels, and the regulatory and policy frameworks governing them.
  • Knowledge of the structures, policies, regulations, and market fundamentals of the Philippines’ power industry.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills to understand, analyze, interpret, and derive insight from complex quantitative data and information is essential.
  • Knowledge in evaluating an energy project’s technical and financial feasibility.
