Provide technological anchors and lead in the innovation process through the design of new and reformulated products. Lead in the development, scale-up, and commercialization of new products and the continuous improvement of existing products.

• Conduct literature search to identify applicable technologies that will deliver desired product claims in different product formats.
• Formulate or reformulate products based on agreed timelines, cost, and product design specifications.
• Conduct appropriate tests to ensure that the product being developed is safe and effective for use based on current regulations.
• Ensure quality, integrity, and establish shelf life of product prototypes via stability testing.
• Perform product evaluation of samples placed under stability studies as well as benchmark samples.
• Ensure proper, updated, and complete reporting and documentation of data gathered during compounding, product evaluation, and laboratory batching.
• Prepare and maintain accurate, updated, and complete documentation and routing of Master Formula, RM Specifications, Product Specifications, and Mixing Forms.
• Profile benchmark products that are available in the market.
• Conduct detailed product presentation and testing results to customers in support of the Sales team.
• Effectively transfer process technology to Production Department or to identified company-accredited manufacturing facility.
• Determine repeatability and reliability of the manufacturing process through Process Validation trials.
• Offer timely support to Production Department to address formulation and process-related issues.
• Prepare and provide appropriate documents needed for the registration and notification of developed products with FDA or other certifying authorities.
• Establish specifications for every developed product and prepare and/or revise R&D related SOPs and Work Instructions (WIs).
• Assist in the preparation, updating, and maintenance of Product Information File (PIF).
• Work closely with packaging engineer/s to develop packaging systems that are compatible with the newly formulated products.
• Conduct trainings on new and revised SOPs and Work Instructions.
• Ensure that GLP and GMP are strictly observed in the work area.
• Support the achievement of the department’s objectives which are aligned with the company’s goals.

• Graduate of BS Chemistry/Pharmacy/Cosmetic Science/Biochemistry
• With 1-3 years work experience as product formulator, preferably background in cosmetics/household/personal care/oral care products
