About the Role

We are looking for a Marketing Assistant to join our dynamic team! This role will support the development and execution of marketing strategies that promote FoodSHAP’s products, services, and brand identity. You will work closely with the Marketing Specialist to assist in campaign implementation, coordinate with partners and influencers, manage digital content, and monitor analytics. Your efforts will help ensure that our marketing initiatives are effectively executed and aligned with the company’s goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing marketing campaigns by coordinating schedules, deliverables, and approvals.
• Support the review of current marketing activities and digital presence by collecting data, taking screenshots, and preparing reports for the Marketing Specialist’s review.
• Conduct basic market research and organize findings for trend analysis and competitor benchmarking.
• Help coordinate and maintain the content calendar for social media campaigns, ensuring timely posting and alignment with approved plans.
• Liaise with influencers, brand ambassadors, and partners as directed by the Marketing Specialist, and assist with collaboration logistics.
• Assist in drafting and proofreading marketing materials, newsletters, blogs, and email campaigns (excluding graphic design and technical content writing).
• Monitor campaign performance and assist in compiling analytics reports.
• Ensure compliance with copyrighting and branding guidelines before publishing or launching any content.
• Help implement e-communication strategies, ensuring proper linking to CRM tools when applicable.
• Monitor and log client/customer feedback and flag relevant insights to the Marketing Specialist.
• Provide support in organizing and coordinating marketing events such as webinars, trade shows, and sponsorships.
• Assist in public communication efforts under the guidance of the Marketing Specialist to maintain a positive brand image.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure marketing efforts align with overall business goals.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or any related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in marketing or a related role.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and basic CRM systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace; knowledge of Canva or basic design tools is a plus.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and willing to learn.
