Responsibilities

  • Set the strategic direction for the Electrical Department.
  •  Ensure academic and research excellence.
  •  Foster a collaborative and innovative environment.
  •  Develop and implement cutting-edge research initiatives.
  •  Secure funding and build partnerships with industry and government agencies.
  •  Oversee the development and delivery of educational programs.
  •  Mentor junior faculty and support their professional development.
  •  Ensure the department remains at the forefront of technological advancements.
  •  Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the department.
  •  Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively.
  •  Represent the department at university and external meetings.
  •  Collaborate with other departments and institutions on interdisciplinary projects.
  •  Evaluate and improve departmental policies and procedures.
  •  Lead faculty recruitment and retention efforts.
  •  Support student recruitment and retention initiatives.
  •  Ensure compliance with university and regulatory standards.
  •  Facilitate faculty and student research presentations and publications.
  •  Organize and participate in departmental events and activities.
  •  Monitor and assess the performance of faculty and staff.
  •  Provide regular reports to university leadership on departmental progress.
