The Service Engineer ensures the smooth operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of automated machines and related systems. This role involves service scheduling, technical support, inventory management, training, and documentation. The Service Engineer also supports product development, coordinates with logistics, and oversees tools and technology essential to the team’s performance.

1. Service Scheduling

• Log and monitor all service requests.
• Prepare and release service schedules in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with clients and the technical team to minimize machine downtime.

2. Machine and Parts Inventory

• Maintain an updated inventory of machines, spare parts, and consumables.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate procurement when necessary.
• Ensure critical parts are always available to support uninterrupted service.

3. Tools Inventory & Optimization

• Maintain an updated record of all tools issued to the technical team.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools or technologies to enhance efficiency.
• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safekeeping of all tools.

4. Coordination with Logistics

• Work closely with the logistics team for deployment, delivery, and retrieval of machines and spare parts.
• Align service schedules with logistics availability to ensure on-time servicing.
• Coordinate movement of defective units for repair or replacement.

5. Training & Development of Technical Team

• Develop and implement training modules for new hires and existing technicians.
• Conduct regular training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and provide improvement feedback.

6. Machine Support Materials

• Create and maintain an FAQ video library for common machine issues.
• Update materials regularly to include new troubleshooting solutions.

7. Service Documentation

• Record all service activities, repairs, and preventive maintenance accurately.
• Ensure reports are complete, well-organized, and properly filed.
• Submit monthly summaries for management review.

8. Product Development Support

• Provide technical insights and feedback to support new product design and development.
• Collaborate with R&D and management to test prototypes and suggest improvements.
