Work Location: San Antonio, Makati City

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Work Setup: Hybrid (2x WFH, 3x Onsite)


Key Areas of Responsibilities:


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Core Accounting and Compliance
  • Financial Reporting
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with PFRS and company policy.
  • Collaborate with department heads to gather relevant data and assumptions.
  • Analyze variances and provide meaningful insights to management.
  • General Ledger (GL) Management
  • Oversee the integrity of the General Ledger, including complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing procedures.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and other adjustments, in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Accurately input financial data into accounting software and maintain financial databases.
  • Tax Compliance
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of all local tax returns (BIR - e.g., VAT, Income Tax, Withholding Taxes) and compliance with relevant government agencies (SEC, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG)
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local tax regulations and identify areas for improvement and efficiency before and during audit
  • Core Accounting Activities
  •  Process invoices, manage payments, and ensure timely collections. Reconcile accounts as needed
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records
  • Fixed Asset - maintaining and reconciling fixed asset
  • Client invoicing - ensure that computation is accurate and sent on the required deadline


  • Management Reporting & Analysis
  • Executive Reporting
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives.
  • Build models initially via excel to support forecasting.
  • Prepare detailed and insightful financial reports and presentations for the Financial Controller and Senior Management/Executives
  • Strategic Analysis
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports for executive leadership.
  • Conduct Profitability Analysis, margin analysis, and ad-hoc financial studies to support business decision-making and identify areas for cost reduction or revenue enhancement..
  • Financial Analysis - Conduct preliminary analysis of financial data to support decision-making


Secondary Duties & Responsibilities:


Should the workload of the Finance Team ramp up, you may be tapped to assist with the following broader Finance functions:


  • Internal Controls & Process Enhancement
  • Proactively identifying and assessing financial risks, such as fraud, errors, or non-compliance, and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert for the accounting system. This involves recommending and leading the implementation of new modules or software to automate processes, improve data integrity, and increase efficiency. For example, implementing an automated accounts payable system or a more robust fixed asset module.
  • Serving as the main point of contact for external auditors. This includes preparing audit schedules, providing necessary documentation, and addressing audit queries to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process.


  •  Employee & Stakeholder Development
  • Creating and delivering training sessions for junior accounting staff on new accounting standards (like recent updates to PFRS), new software, or best practices for specific tasks (e.g., complex reconciliations). This elevates the team's overall skill set.
  • Partnering with non-finance departments like sales, marketing, and operations. This involves providing financial training for department heads to help them understand budget reports and cost management. This makes the finance function a more integrated business partner rather than just a back-office department.


  •  Specialized Financial & Regulatory Compliance
  • Responsible for preparing and submitting all required reports to maintain the company's tax incentives and other privileges.
  • Managing and reporting foreign currency transactions and their impact on financial statements, especially for companies with significant international dealings. This includes monitoring foreign exchange gains and losses and ensuring they are correctly reported under PFRS.
  • Assisting in the financial due diligence process for special projects like mergers, acquisitions, or significant investments. This involves preparing financial models, analyzing historical data, and providing insights into the target company's financial health.


  • General Finance Support
  • Provide general administrative support to the Finance team as needed.
  • Collaborate with other Finance team members on various projects.


Qualifications and Experience:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or any Finance related course
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting or audit, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role
  • Proven experience with complex financial transactions, consolidations, and a deep understanding of PFRS
  • Expert-level proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, advanced formulas for data modeling)
  • In-depth knowledge of current Philippine tax laws (NIRC, TRAIN Law) and BIR compliance procedures.
  • Familiarity with local government requirements.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex financial data, identify anomalies, and translate financial results into actionable business insights
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills; ability to prepare and deliver professional, clear, and concise reports and presentations to all levels of management.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Quickbooks and Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
