Urgent Hiring: IBM MQ Developer

Metacom Solutions is actively seeking an IBM MQ Developer (ATCP-1158995-S384203) to join our team. If you have expertise in IBM WebSphere MQ on z/OS and are passionate about delivering high-performance messaging solutions, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation & Configuration

• Install and configure IBM MQ on z/OS
• Set up and manage queue managers, queues, channels, and listeners
• Configure MQ clustering and high-availability solutions

Administration & Maintenance

• Monitor and maintain MQ objects (queue managers, queues, channels, triggers)
• Apply patches, updates, and perform version upgrades

Performance Monitoring & Tuning

• Utilize tools like IBM MQ Explorer, Tivoli to monitor performance
• Optimize queue depths, log sizes, and buffer pools
• Identify and resolve message processing bottlenecks

Troubleshooting & Incident Management

• Analyze MQ error logs, dumps, and traces to determine root causes
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues and message delays

Disaster Recovery & Backup

• Implement MQ replication, backup, and recovery procedures
• Participate in DR testing to ensure high availability of services

Job Qualifications:

• Strong expertise in IBM WebSphere MQ and IBM z/OS Systems Administration
• Knowledge of z/OS architecture, functions, and hardware
• Experience with JCL, IBM & ISV Utilities
• Solid troubleshooting skills for critical issue resolution
• Understanding of z/OS, Storage, and Database support areas
• Nice to have: IBM CICS (Customer Information Control System)
• Minimum Experience: 3+ years of IBM MQ expertise
