Responsibilities

• Providing IT assistance to staff
• Respond promptly to IT support requests from staff through phone call or in-person visits.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, such as computer problems, printer malfunctions, or software errors.
• Provide step-by-step guidance to staff for resolving common IT issues.
• Monitoring hardware, software, and system performance metrics.
• Monitor the CPU usage of servers and workstations to ensure they are not overutilized, which can lead to performance degradation.
• Monitor available disk space on storage devices to prevent storage capacity issues and potential data loss.
• Use hardware monitoring tools to check the temperature and overall health of physical hardware components, such as hard drives and server components.
• Server and System Management.
• Regularly monitoring server hardware components such as CPU, RAM, hard drives, and network interfaces to identify potential issues.
• Setting up and maintaining firewalls to protect the server and network from unauthorized access and attacks.
• Implementing backup strategies to regularly back up important files and data.
• Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, and printers.
• Installing the appropriate hardware components based on the intended use and requirements.
• Configure software settings based on organization's requirements, including security settings, user preferences, and network integration.
• Installing the chosen operating system on the computer, following the installation instructions.
• Configure routers and switches to manage network traffic and ensure connectivity.
• Regularly maintain printers, including cleaning, replacing consumables, and troubleshooting any printing issues.
• Repairing and replacing IT equipment as necessary.
• Perform repairs on faulty IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, servers, networking devices, and peripherals.
• Assess equipment for repair feasibility and cost-effectiveness. If repair is not viable, replace equipment following procurement processes.
• Dental Software and Hardware Troubleshooting
• Identify and address hardware problems with dental equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to dental software.
• Assist in X-ray Installation and Calibration
• Physically install the X-ray machine, including positioning it, connecting power sources, and ensuring proper grounding.
• Set up and connect associated computer workstations for X-ray Machine.
• Perform initial calibration of the X-ray equipment to ensure accurate imaging.
• Perform quality assurance tests to verify that the X-ray machine produces images of the required quality.
• Coordinating IT Suppliers.
• Carefully select IT suppliers based on requirements, budget, and vendor reputation. Consider factors such as pricing, reliability, scalability, and support capabilities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with IT suppliers. Effective communication and collaboration are key to successful supplier management.
• Buying IT Equipment.
• Negotiate pricing, warranties, delivery terms, and support agreements with chosen vendors.
• Place orders with selected vendors, ensuring that all purchase orders are accurate and compliant with contract terms.
• Gather detailed requirements for IT equipment, including specifications, quantities, and any specific software or hardware configurations.
• Installation of CCTV, SERVERS, NETWORK, HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE
• Mount the CCTV cameras securely in their designated positions.
• Configure IP cameras to connect to the network.
• Test each camera to ensure it captures clear video and functions as intended.
• Set up remote access for authorized users to view live and recorded video remotely.
• Set up Servers according to the requirement of the company set up.
• Set up Network Infrastructure and trace all possible problems/defective items.
• Set up Hardware and Software to make sure that are up to date and compatible with the company requirement and standard.
• Ensures that all installation guidelines are met and meet the standards of the company.
