Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our growing QA team. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing, with a strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies and tools. Experience in banking, financial services, or fintech is highly preferred, as you will be working on high-impact, compliance-driven applications.

You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through rigorous testing, documentation, and collaboration with development and business teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases based on project requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing to ensure application reliability.
• Identify, report, and track bugs using tools such as JIRA or similar.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to understand requirements and resolve issues.
• Maintain and improve existing automation test scripts and frameworks.
• Contribute to test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test summaries.
• Ensure software meets security, performance, and compliance standards, especially in financial applications.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and continuously contribute to improving QA processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in QA, with exposure to both manual and automation testing.
• Experience in banking, fintech, or financial services domain is a strong advantage.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Proficiency in using test automation tools like Selenium, Katalon, TestNG, or Postman.
• Experience with API testing, UI testing, and working with SQL for data validation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, version control (e.g., Git), and Agile methodologies.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Basic scripting or programming knowledge (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) for automation.
• Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter is a plus.
• Certification in ISTQB or any relevant QA training is an advantage.
