Property Management Assistant / Leasing Officer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide property data and answer inquiries regarding available units, pricing, amenities, and lease terms.
  • Coordinate property showings, appointments, and events to attract prospective tenants.
  • Assist with the leasing process by preparing and managing lease applications and rental agreements.
  • Handle move-ins and move-outs, ensuring all paperwork is complete, accurate, and approved on time.
  • Ensure lease renewals are processed in a timely manner.
  • Handle unit repairs and deliveries of materials, furniture, and appliances, ensuring proper coordination and receipt.
  • Keep accurate records of tenant interactions, expenses, applications, and lease statuses.
  • Manage and update the property's rental listings on various platforms.
  • Assist with marketing efforts, including social media, to attract new tenants.
  • Provide administrative support, including answering phones, emails, and handling inquiries.


Education & Experience:

  • Some college coursework or a degree in real estate or a related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience in property management, leasing, sales, or customer service is preferred.


Skills & Abilities:

  • Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with potential tenants, existing residents, and team members.
  • Customer service: Ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with tenants and prospects.
  • Organization: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail: Accuracy in preparing and processing lease applications, contracts, and property records.
  • Problem-solving skills: Ability to address tenant inquiries or concerns and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Time management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and other applications.
  • Basic knowledge of email, internet, and office equipment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs during property showings.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs (e.g., office supplies, marketing materials).

  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
