Description
- Accurately code medical diagnoses and procedures using standardized classification systems.
- Review patient records and documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify diagnoses for accurate coding.
- Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines and regulations.
- Assist in training junior staff members in coding practices and procedures.
Requirements
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or related field
- Experience Level: Junior: 0–2 years
- Skills and Competencies: Knowledge of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Qualities and Traits: Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and effective communication
- Working Conditions: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse medical professionals
