Network Administrator

Are you a skilled network professional looking for an opportunity to build and scale IT infrastructure in a fast-paced BPO environment? Join Sonora BPO and play a pivotal role in ensuring a secure, high-performance network that supports our operations.


As a Network Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining a reliable and scalable network infrastructure that supports BPO operations, hybrid workforces, and data security compliance. You’ll oversee network optimization, security protocols, troubleshooting, and vendor management while ensuring uninterrupted operations for both on-site and remote employees.

In this role, you will begin as an independent contributor, but as our company scales, you will have the opportunity to build and lead a dedicated IT team. Our team operates in a hybrid work setup, offering flexibility while maintaining a highly collaborative environment.


Network Administration & Security

  • Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade network hardware, software, and applications to support business needs.
  • Implement Quality of Service (QoS) policies to optimize VoIP and real-time communications, ensuring crystal-clear call quality for client interactions.
  • Proactively analyze network traffic, utilization trends, and system loads to prevent bottlenecks and downtime.
  • Ensure the security of networks, data, and systems by implementing security measures, monitoring threats, and collaborating with cybersecurity teams.
  • Maintain and administer email and intranet services, including user account management.


Technical Support & Optimization

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, providing expert-level support to employees.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including checklists, processes, support trees, and knowledge bases for IT support staff.
  • Oversee the installation and maintenance of peripheral devices, including printers, routers, and other network components.

Scalability & Strategic Planning

  • Assess hardware and software needs, research emerging technologies, and recommend solutions that align with company growth.
  • Act as the primary liaison with IT vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Drive automation, process improvements, and innovative IT solutions to support the company’s expansion.

Future Leadership Responsibilities

  • Initially serve as an independent contributor, with the expectation of building and leading an IT team as the company scales.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to technical support staff in managing network infrastructure.
  • Establish best practices for network administration, security, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 1-3 years of experience in network administration, preferably in a BPO, call center, or IT-enabled services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Ability to scale IT solutions in a high-growth startup environment.
  • Experience with cloud-based systems, virtualization, and remote network access solutions is a plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, network administration, cybersecurity, or related field.
