Restaurant Manager

Position Overview:

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure smooth workflow, compliance with standards, and maximum profitability. This role requires strong leadership, operational management, and customer service skills to deliver excellent dining experiences while maintaining company policies and business goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily opening and closing procedures to ensure seamless operations.
  • Ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
  • Implement and enforce company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Control inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and manage product rotation based on sales trends and seasonal changes.
  • Suggest and implement strategies to improve sales, promotions, and customer retention.
  • Handle customer complaints, resolve issues promptly, and ensure high service standards at all times.
  • Monitor daily sales, oversee cash handling, and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Minimize expenses and prevent losses through effective operational controls.
  • Manage, train, and motivate staff; set performance goals and sales quotas; conduct evaluations; and address disciplinary matters.
  • Prepare work schedules, monitor attendance, and ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Foster teamwork, discipline, and a positive work environment, promoting a culture of accountability and customer focus.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and government regulations.
  • Monitor staff compliance with health, safety, and hygiene protocols.
  • Submit timely reports on store performance, inventory, and staff updates to management.
  • Identify training needs and support staff development initiatives.
  • Lead by example and maintain a professional image that reflects company values.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in restaurant or retail management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, financial reporting, and staff supervision.
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service and ensuring compliance with standards.
