The Senior Visual UX Designer (Specialist) has a strong foundation in user experience and is able to create aesthetically stunning and easy-to-use digital experiences. You’ll be responsible for elevating our visual identity to the next level – improving our visual language and assets while strengthening our overall visual storytelling and how we express our brand across all the digital touchpoints across the Maya ecosystem. You’ll be creating visual stunning experiences that people will fall love with, while working closely with our product designers, product managers, engineers, growth and marketing experts to align on the vision.

You should have at least 5 years’ experience in both UX and visual design. This is a hands-on individual contributor role. We have a hybrid setup, so you need to be on-site at our office in Mandaluyong, Metro Manila 3 days a week.

What you will do:

• Design icons, illustrations, and other visual assets
• Conduct visual research to identify emerging trends, tools, tech and user mindsets
• Create and maintain visual identities that aligns with the brand values and messaging
• Develop visual design languages and style guides
• Test and incorporate feedback into design iterations
• Ensure designs enhance the overall user experience and strengthen our storytelling
• Ensure consistency in visual elements across various platforms
• Communicate visual ideas and concepts to team members and stakeholders effectively
• Work closely with product designers, product managers, engineers and other stakeholders
• Experiment with new design techniques to improve user engagement and experience
• Grow the team’s overall visual skills and experience

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in visual communication design, motion design, visual arts or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Proven experience of at least 5 years as a UX designer, visual designer or similar role in designing for digital products, apps and services.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects, particularly digital interfaces
• Experience in designing for cross platform (mobile, web, tablet, etc.), responsive and mobile-first design
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality designs
• Experience in launching large scale products
• Experience in implementing design systems
• Track record of collaborating with multidisciplinary UX and/or product teams on technical implementation
• Fluency with visual storytelling and other communication tools that enable persuasive communicate findings to a non-technical audience
• Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Familiarity with motion design is a bonus.
• Familiarity with video editing is a plus
• Experience in digital banking, cryptocurrencies, investment or financial services is a plus
