Senior Corporate Lawyer Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions

  • Attend court hearings on behalf of the institution and argue motions

  • Strategize, prepare for, and attend trial proceedings, mediation, and arbitration

  • Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests and responses

  • Provide guidance and advice to associate attorneys and paralegals to resolve or prevent conflicts

  • Maintain knowledge of local and federal statutes and applicable laws

  • Give sound legal advise

  • represent the company and its officers in any proceedings, 

  • work in fast paced environment

  • protect the interest of the company and its owners

Senior Lawyer Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a law degree from an accredited law school (such as an LLM, JSD, or J.D. degree)

  • At least 10 years of experience working as a senior associate attorney

  • Member of local bar associations in good standing

  • Prior experience representing clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration

  • Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision

  • Persuasive writing skills and verbal communication skills are critical, along with time management and interpersonal skills

  • Must be willing to work onsite at AMA Head Office, Panay Quezon City
