Role Description

We are searching for an experienced Supply Chain Planning and Export Manager to lead end-to-end supply chain: from demand planning and customer order management, to production planning and inventory management, to ocean freight and customer service. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, high customer centricity, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent supply and delivery of our products.


Important: This is a full-time on-site role based between our Head Office in Magallanes, Makati and our Plant in Medina, Misamis Oriental. The candidate must be willing to be based in our plant in Misamis Oriental for 50-75% of the time.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demand and Supply Planning and Inventory Management

  • Develop demand forecasts, ensuring high level of accuracy by analyzing historical data and working closely with sales and marketing for customer insight
  • Review and approve supply allocations for each product and market
  • Create a supply plan of raw materials and packaging materials based on demand projections and optimal inventory levels
  • Coordinate with the coconut buying team, plant production planning & control team and procurement teams on feasibility of supply plan
  • Monitor supply and inventory levels, and take proactive actions to mitigate shortages or excesses
  • Continuously improve demand and supply planning processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy


Order Management and Production Planning

  • Ensures all Customer Purchase Orders are processed and booked correctly into the system within agreed service lead time and corresponding Sales Contract or Proforma Invoice is issued to customer.
  • Track booked orders versus supply allocation for each product and market, ensuring alignment with customer orders
  • Convert booked order quantities into a monthly production plan for the plant’s weekly production scheduling aligned with optimizing plant capacity and inventory goals while balancing customer delivery date requirements.
  • Monitor status of production completion or delays and adjust production plan
  • Oversee inventory levels and take proactive actions to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
  • Provide real-time shipment tracking and status updates to sales teams and customers
  • Oversee execution of order fulfillment based on agreed customer incoterms and delivering on-time and in-full (OTIF)


Logistics, Freight Management, Export Documentation and Customer Service

  • Prepare projected shipment schedules based on production plan and promised delivery dates
  • Coordinate with the plant logistics team on vessel and container booking with freight carriers
  • Oversee a team of export documentation specialists and ensure all shipping documentation is compliant to customs regulations and submitted to customers within the agreed service level timeframe
  • Maintain compliance with international shipping regulations and customs requirements
  • Evaluate freight carriers, seeing to it that service levels and cost-effectiveness are maintained Ensure rates are negotiated, competitive and locked at least 1 month prior to shipment
  • Support sales teams with customer order status and shipment tracking
  • Lead logistics cost savings initiatives
  • Stay up to date on international shipping regulations and customs requirements, trends, and shipping news


Special Projects

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions to improve end-to-end supply chain management processes
  • Partner with Sales, R&D and Manufacturing teams for special projects and innovations


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in export supply chain, demand planning and ocean freight management
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with freight carriers
  • Experience in Business Process Improvement
  • Experience in Export of agricultural produce a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field


SKILLS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP software for supply chain
  • Data Analysis & Forecasting Tools
  • Excellent in communication and inter-personal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure
