Key Responsibilities

• Perform TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) welding on a variety of materials such as stainless steel, mild steel, and other alloys
• Inspect welded joints and materials to ensure strength, integrity, and compliance with safety and industry standards
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications to execute precise welds
• Conduct regular maintenance on welding equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working order
• Prepare, clean, and fit components for welding, ensuring the correct alignment and positioning of materials
• Ensure that all welds are completed according to company quality standards and safety protocols
• Maintain detailed records of welding activities, materials used, and time logs for traceability and compliance
• Collaborate with the maintenance teams to identify and resolve welding issues in various parts of the facility
• Assist in the fabrication and modification of metal components for equipment and structures used in the manufacturing process
• Support the installation or replacement of welding components in production lines and machinery
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs to welding equipment and related tools

General Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety standards, including the use of appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and safe welding practices
• Follow all company safety procedures and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times
• Maintain cleanliness of the welding area, ensuring the work environment is free from hazardous materials
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve welding processes and reduce downtime
• Assist in training junior welders and other maintenance staff as needed
• Assist in other tasks or projects as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor
• Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by the immediate superior
