Overall Duties and Responsibilities

The Head of Business Development will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our fintech business by identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities in channel and territory development, forging strategic partnerships, and contributing to innovative product development. This role requires a deep understanding of the fintech landscape, general and modern trade, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering value through innovation.

hannel and Territory Development: Partner with the Sales and Trade Marketing teams to develop and execute strategies to expand the business into more markets and optimize reach and penetration of our various distribution channels. Monitor and manage regional / micro market performance metrics to ensure achievement of sales and growth targets. - P
artnerships and Alliances: Identify and build strategic partnerships with merchants, financial institutions, telcos, and other ecosystem players to enhance the value proposition of GCash. Negotiate, finalize, and manage partnership agreements to ensure mutual success. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and activate partnerships effectively. Foster long-term relationships with key stakeholders to ensure ongoing collaboration and business growth. - C
ommercial Support: Work closely with the commercial teams to identify market needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape. Provide insights to refine existing offerings and design new ones that address customer pain points. Expertise in market research, forecasting and business modeling. - S
trategic Planning and Execution: Able to set long-term business objectives and create actionable strategies. Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements to identify risks and opportunities. Manage and report on program progress/milestones, ensuring cross-functional alignment and delivery of program on time, on budget and on strategy.

Qualifications
- B
achelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; MBA is a plus. - A
t least 5-7 years of experience in business development, preferably in fintech, e-wallets, or digital payments. - P
roven track record in channel development, territory expansion, and partnership management. - E
xceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. - A
bility to think strategically and execute tactically to deliver measurable results. - E
xperience working in cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders. - A
nalytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
