The Jira Applications Specialist will oversee and be responsible for the administration, configuration, and optimization of Jira applications within the organization. This pivotal role is essential for streamlining processes and enhancing the overall functionality of Jira and other products in the Atlassian suite for both our organization and clients. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure Jira is effectively leveraged to support project management, issue tracking, and various related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide quality system admin support for Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and associated add-ons and integrations to other tools.
- Manage Jira projects, users, permissions, Jira screen schemes, notification schemes, custom fields, field configurations, workflows, workflow functions
- Work with stakeholders and Business Applications manager to evaluate JIRA and Confluence plug-ins, determine licensing needs, and perform testing, installation and configuration of the plug-ins
- Manage global and project customization. Install and configure custom Jira add-ons to provide enhanced capabilities (e.g. Automation for Jira, etc.)
- Develop automated scripts, post functions and triggers using REST API (nice to have) and Webhooks (required)
- Establish standards, best practices, and governance for managing Jira and Confluence.
- Provide technical support for user management, creating custom dashboards, projects, issues, queries, workflows, and reports.
- Write custom JQL (Jira Query Language) to construct custom dashboards, advanced filters, and reports, using various filter types in JIRA.
- Experience in migrating Jira from one instance into another.
- Work with Atlassian support for the issues and resolving them in a timely manner without any interruption to the users.
- Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements for business processes, and determine ways to optimize/improve the tools
- Provide recommendations to users and management on best practices and standardization in implementing projects and processes within Jira and the Atlassian suite.
- Develop and maintain technical and user-facing documentation and standard operating procedures and guides
- Maintain a healthy application environment by periodically reviewing and modifying configurations, permissions, workflows, dashboards, integrations, and logs.
- Report Directly to Business Applications Manager
- Ad hoc duties as requested
Who you are:
- Experience with back-end configuration and setup of Atlassian Suite of Products (Cloud version):
- JIRA Software (cloud version)
- JIRA Service Management including Assets feature (cloud version)
- Confluence (cloud version)
- Tempo
- Atlassian JIRA Service Management Client portal configuration and maintenance
- KOJI Chatbot maintenance and support (dedicated version would be a plus)
- JIRA Service Management Workflow design, configuration and automation
- Is a self-starter and can work with less supervision
- Has a professional go-getter mindset and collaborative spirit
- Has excellent verbal and written communication
Experience Required:
- Working knowledge of Atlassian tools such as Jira, JSM, Confluence, and Atlassian add-ons such as, Automation for Jira
- Working knowledge on Webhooks
- Process governance experience or strong automation workflow knowledge
- Experience with Agile methodology lifecycle
- Years of Experience: 3-5+ years of relevant experience
Working Hours:
- 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM Manila time, hybrid setup with one in-office day per week.
