Kitchen Helper/Steward

Department: Commissary / Kitchen

Reports To: Commissary Supervisor / Head Cook


The Kitchen Helper (Part-Time) supports the commissary team in food preparation, cleaning, and organizing tasks to ensure smooth kitchen operations. The role assists cooks in preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and following food safety and sanitation guidelines.


  • Assist in basic food preparation (washing, peeling, chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients).
  • Support cooks in assembling and packing meals for catering and diet food production.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils.
  • Dispose of waste properly and follow sanitation standards.
  • Help in receiving, storing, and organizing deliveries and supplies.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and GMP standards at all times.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor or cook.


Work Conditions

  • Part-time schedule depending on commissary production needs.
  • Commissary-based; work may involve standing for long hours and handling kitchen tools.

Requisito

  • At least High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Preferably with experience working in a kitchen, commissary, or food service setting.
  • Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety practices is an advantage.
  • Willing to work flexible schedules (early mornings, weekends, or holidays).
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual kitchen tasks.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
